On 12 May 2014, under the authorization of Thua Thien Hue province leaders, the provincial mission led by Colonel Tran Dinh Phong- Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Military Base worked with the Special Mission of two provinces, Xalavan and Seking of Lao People’s Democratic Republic on continuing to boost up collecting the remains of Vietnamese voluntary soldiers and experts who died in the two provinces.
At the working meeting, the two sides appreciated results of collaboration to search for and collect the remains of Vietnamese voluntary soldiers and experts died in the two provinces, Xalavan and Seking of Lao People’s Democratic Republic in the dry season 2013- 2014. According to this, in 06 months of the dry season 2013-2014, the Search team 192 of TT. Hue province Military Base in collaboration with and under the assistance of the Special Mission and people of two provinces, Xalavan and Sekong sought in nearly 800 villages of 8 districts in two provinces. As a result of that, 21 remains were collected.
