Ha Noi successfully defended their title at the National Mixed Team Badminton Championship which closed on Thursday in Bac Giang Province.
Ha Noi defeated HCM City 3-1 in the final match, with world No 10 Nguyen Tien Minh scoring the only 21-11, 21-10 win for HCM City in the men’s singles match.
Ha Noi then dominated the women’s singles, with Le Thu Huyen beating Kim Thu 21-14, 21-10, and the men’s doubles, with Le Ha Anh and Dao Manh Thang toppling top seeded pair Nguyen Hoang Nam/Duong Bao Duc 21-13, 21-8. Earlier their women’s duo Huyen/Pham Nhu Thao best Dang Kim Ngan/Le Thi Thanh Thuy 21-17, 23-25, 21-15.— VNS
