HAI DUONG (VNS) – A Japanese NGO yesterday donated 160 wheelchairs to the Red Cross Associations of Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Ha Nam, worth about US$19,000.
The NGO, called the Volunteers Group to Send Wheelchairs to Overseas Children, collects and restores used wheelchairs before donating them to children with disabilities abroad.
The wheelchairs were also partially funded from Japanese ODA. — VNS
