(VOV) -Vietnam has won six silver medals at the 2014 Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiads (APIO 2014) held in Kazakhstan from May 3 to 4, announced the Ministry of Education and Training.
- Local students excel at Asian Physics Olympiad
- Student Math Olympiad with 11 special prizes
- Vietnam to attend Asian Physics Olympiad in Singapore
The medals were given to 11th and 12th graders of schools for gifted students in Hanoi city and Hai Duong province.
Students from 29 countries participated in the contest held online globally.
Fifteen Vietnamese students joined the contest at the University of Engineering and Technology under the Hanoi-based Vietnam National University (VNU).
Overall, Vietnam ranked seventh out of 29 participating countries.
