Truc Lam Phuong Nam Zen monastery built in Can Tho

An inauguration ceremony of Truc Lam Phuong Nam Zen monastery was held on May by the Executive Committee of the Can Tho City Buddhist Sangha.

The construction with Buddhism architecture of the Ly-Tran Dynasties costs nearly VND 145 billion (US$6.9 million), covering an area of four hectares in Phong Dien District’s My Khanh Commune.



The Zen monastery is designed a grand hall, a conference-hall with a capacity of 500 Buddhists, a 9-storey tower, a library, a guest-house, a health room and other items.


Present Truong Tan Sang and Former Secretary- General of Communist Party of Vietnam Le Kha Phieu attended the event.
