Titled “Xoac Cang Doi Mua Xuan” (Splitting Her Legs, Waiting for Spring), the book, consisting of about 50 short stories, is published by the Center for Studies and Applied Science in Gender, Family, Women and Adolescents with the support from the Consulate General of Canada in Ho Chi Minh City in the hope of raising people’s awareness on voices of the LGBT community.

“The promotion and protection of human rights including support for LGBT issues form a part of Canada’s foreign policy. This partnership with the Center for Studies and Applied Science in Gender, Family, Women and Adolescents in this project demonstrates our commitment to support and recognize the rights of sexual minorities,” said Wayne Robson, Consul General of Canada.

The book launch at 2:30 pm at Ca Chep Bookstore at 211-213 Vo Van Tan Street in District 3 will include a screening of a video clip and a discussion of the book.
