(VOV) -As many as 187 athletes from 13 teams nationwide are competing at the 23rd National Junior Shooting Championships, which kicked off at the National Sports and Physical Training Centre in Hanoi on July 28.
Vietnam Shooting Federation Chairman Nguyen Duc Uynh said the host city sent the largest number of competitors to the event (35), followed by HCM City (20) and the military team (19).
The champs, which will last until August 4, provide an excellent opportunity for local marksmen to hone their professional skills in preparation for regional and international competitions. The best athletes will be selected for the national team.
