 Drug trafficker Lo Van Lien The Dien Bien Border Guard and Laos’ Pa Thom border post have just broken a drug smuggling ring from Laos to Vietnam and arrested a Lao man named Lo Van Lien, born in 1966. At 5.30am of July 9, the Dien Bien Border Guard and Pa Thom border post surrounded, pursued and arrested Lo Van Lien in Pa Xa Lao village, Pa Thom commune, Dien Bien district, Dien Bien province when he was transporting a cake of heroin, weighing 350gram and 850 pills of ecstasy. At the investigation office, Lien told the police that the above drug was brought from Laos and then illegally transported into Vietnam and cooperated with some Vietnamese people to sell for benefits. He chose to arrive into Vietnam at 4am and the drug was hidden in a handbag and rent a motor-taxi driver to take him but he was still arrested. Lien can speak and write Vietnamese language. It is known that Lo Van Lien had ever served eight years in Thanh Xuan prison, Hanoi for illegal drug transport./. |
