PANO – Military Hospital 175 on August 19th kicked off an English training course for over 40 doctors and officers from the hospital and Army Corps 4, who would be assigned to UN peacekeeping operations.
Present at the opening ceremony were Major General Vu Quoc Binh, Director of the Department of Military Medicine of the Ministry of National Defence, Australian Ambassador to Vietnam Hugh Borrowman, and representatives of relevant units.
The course, sponsored by the Australian Embassy and instructed by foreign teachers, is expected to finish by 2015. The trainees are expected to have command English so that they could be ready for future UN peacekeeping operations.
