This promotion will take effect when carriers put their first flights into operation.
International flights entering and leaving the five airports receive a 50% discount on landing and take-off, air traffic control and security screening services from the beginning of this year until the end of next year.
Certain airlines subject to the current markdown at Cam Ranh Airport will also have its duration of validity extended.
Other carriers which do not operate international flights to the local terminals excluding Noi Bai, Danang, Tan Son Nhat, Phu Bai, Cam Ranh, Cat Bi, Lien Khuong and Can Tho will be subject to the full prices of aircraft ground handing services in accordance with the Ministry of Finance’s regulations. The applicable date will take effect when the first flight is launched.
The CAAV held a conference in September last year to call for air carriers to open international routes to the five airports.
Only Cam Ranh and Phu Quoc airports serve regular flights from Russia and some other international chartered flights while Can Tho Airport only has some international chartered flights from Taiwan, especially during Tet or Lunar New Year holiday.
