VGP – Twenty-five guest workers returned home Saturday from Libya’s Benghazi, according to the Viet Nam News Agency.

This is part of the plan to evacuate all Vietnamese guest workers from Libya.

Earlier on Thursday, 216 Vietnamese workers returned home safe while 50 others left Libya, according to the Department for Overseas Labor Management under the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

The Ministry said it expects to complete the plan in August.

The Ministries of Foreign Affairs (MFA), Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and Vietnamese representative agencies in Libya, Turkey, Egypt and Algeria are closely working with companies in charge of these workers to launch measures and plans to ensure safety for Vietnamese laborers in Libya.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs had sent diplomatic notes to the Embassies of the Philippines and Thailand in Viet Nam asking them to help remove Vietnamese citizens out of dangerous areas.

Vietnamese representative agencies in Turkey, Egypt and Algeria have worked with local agencies on conditions to facilitate Vietnamese workers’ return. In the coming time, Vietnamese laborers will go home by air./
