PANO – Vice State President Nguyen Thi Doan on August 18th granted scholarships to 300 poor students and law enforcement forces’ children in Ha Nam province, as part of the program launched by the provincial Study Promotion Society.

Addressing the ceremony, Vice President Doan highly valued the province’s good care of needy students and believed that the above children would try their best to have better school records, contributing to developing the national tradition.
Accordingly, 325 students received scholarships and bikes worth VND 700 million in total. Among the beneficiaries, 26 are children of coast guard and fisheries surveillance forces serving in Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos.
On this occasion, donors also offerred over VND 400 million to the provincial Study Promotion Society.
