HCM City eager to boost connectivity with India

Secretary of the HCM City Party Committee Le Thanh Hai told Indian President Pranab Mukherjee at their meeting on September 16.


(VOV) -Ho Chi Minh City is keen to strengthen links with Indian localities, especially in trade, investment, service and tourism.


Hai said HCM City will try its best to effectively carry out cooperation agreements reached between the two countries as a contributions to enhancing the bilateral strategic partnership in the time ahead.


President Pranab shared Hai’s idea on enhancing ties between the city and Indian localities, saying that this will create more chances for the two countries to step up their relations.



The two sides boast huge potential for increasing their collaboration in such areas of India’s strength like garment, food processing, pharmaceuticals, and especially information technology.


India has always stood side by side with Vietnam during its development process,Prana said, while sharing Hai’s idea on promoting ties between HCM City and Indian localities, saying that this will give more chances for the two countries to step up their relations.

During his trip to Ho Chi Minh City, President Pranab visited the Museum on War Remnants and met with the Indian business community.
