HA NOI (VNS) – Members of the Viet Nam Lawyers Association must contribute to the fight against corruption, President Truong Tan Sang said on Saturday at the Viet Nam Lawyers Association’s national conference in Ha Noi.
President Sang applauded the association’s work during its 60 years of establishment and especially now as the country strives to implement further legal reforms to enhance socio-economic development.
Sang also recognised the association’s active voice in protecting national sovereignty, voicing its opinion timely and coordinating with lawyers’ associations abroad to hold legal events establishing Viet Nam’s position.
He said lawyers played a crucial role in fighting corruption and ensuring transparency in governance at all levels. – VNS
