New National Assembly House to begin operations in October

Construction on the National Assembly House and new Ba Dinh Hall is expected to be completed by October 20, just in time to hold the eighth session of the 13th National Assembly.


Nguyen Tien Thanh, Manager of the New National Assembly Project, updated NA Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and Deputy PM Hoang Trung Hai on the progress made during a working session on September 19.

In the meeting, NA Vice Chairwoman Ngan said the handing-over procedures would soon be started to make the building fully operational as soon as possible.



Meanwhile, Deputy PM Hai said the project would be completed within days, urging contractors to increase their resources to meet the deadlines and standards provided.


The Deputy PM also said labour safety and construction site security should be respected at all times, and proposed that the fire safety system be completed sooner than scheduled in order to be able to test all the security systems together.
