VGP – Speaker of the Assembly of the Union of Myanmar Thura U Shwe Mann has hoped that Vietnamese businesses will pour more money in Myanmar, contributing to boosting the two nations’ result-oriented relations.
Mr. Thura U Shwe Man held a meeting with the Association of Vietnamese Investors in Myanmar (AVIM) on September 7.
Currently, Viet Nam’s businesses have poured US$600 million in Myanmar. By 2015, the figure is expected to reach around US$1.5 billion and US$600 million will be disbursed.
As many as 300 Vietnamese enterprises are trading with Myanmar’s partners.
The Speaker hoped that the AVIM will bring into full play its role to accelerate investment in Myanmar.
