Military and civilian units coordinate for defence-military missions

PANO – It was essential to mobilize all forces and effectively use budget to well carry out coordination programs on science and technology between the Ministry of National Defence and civilian units for defence-military missions, said Senior Lieutenant General Truong Quang Khanh, Deputy Defence Minister, at a seminar on October 24th in Hanoi.

At the seminar, the standing agency of the Committee for Military Science and Technology of the Ministry of National Defence briefed the participants on the results of building coordination programs between military and civilian units and orient the implementation of the programs in the time to come.



Over the past time, the Defence Ministry has worked with Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, National University in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi University of Science and Technology to build the coordination action programs which will be carried out in the near future to meet the requirements of defence-military missions.


On behalf of the Central Military Commission and Defence Ministry, general Khanh stressed the necessity of attracting human resources and promoting cooperation among military and civilian units to effectively master modern weapons, making contributions to building a regular and increasingly modern army.


The participants showed their consensus on the Defence Ministry’s guidelines on implementing coordination work in the time to come.
