Over 60,000 new enterprises formed in ten months

The country saw 60,023 new enterprises established in the first ten months this year, with a total registered capital of more than VND352 trillion, down 6.5% in number of enterprises, but up 9.5% in capital over a year earlier, the General Statistics Office reported.


Accordingly, each new enterprise had an average registered capital of VND5.9 trillion during the period, a year-on-year rise of 17.2%. The new enterprises expect to offer jobs to over 883,000 workers, a year-on-year reduction of 0.2%.


During Jan-Oct, total additional capital to the economy was estimated at VND872 trillion, in which VND352.5 trillion of registered capital came from new establishment and VND474.5 trillion from increased capital.


During the period, over 54,000 enterprises nationwide were forced to dissolve or registered to suspend their operation or simply waited for business registration, a year-on-year rise of 9.3%. Total registered capital of businesses was VND455.9 trillion.


The country witnessed more than 13,000 businesses recovering their operation over the past ten months, up 10.7% over a year earlier./.
