Vietnamese film to be screened at the Busan International Film Festival

(Cinet)- Five Vietnamese films has been invited to be screened at the 19th Busan International Film Festival, which is being held from 02-11 October, 2014 at Haeundae (Busan, Korea).



They include: Bi, Don’t Be Afraid (director Phan Dang Di), Water 2030 (director Nguyen Vo Nghiem Minh), Flapping in the Middle of Nowhere (Female director Nguyen Hoang Diep), Gentle by Le Van Kiet, The Inseminator (director Bui Kim Quy).


The festival presents 314 films from 79 countries. The main program themes include: “A Window on Asian Cinema“, “New Currents”, “Korean Cinema Today”, “Korean Cinema Retrospective“, “World Cinema”, “Wide Angle”, “Open Cinema“, and “Special Programs” in Focus.


Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) is one of the largest film festivals in Korea. Beginning in 1996 as the first international film festival in Korea, it is now a major global event.
