Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Deputy Chairman Le Manh Ha on November 28 said that a hot line and electronic mailbox would be set up for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) businesses, aiming to timely solve their difficulties.

At a round-table conference between the committee and Japanese Business Association in HCMC Mr. Ha said that the hotline and mailbox would record all opinions from FDI enterprises and authorized agencies would completely solve any negative issues.

HCMC has taken the lead in FDI attraction in the country this year with US$3 billion as of November and Japanese businesses hold one tenth of the total investment capital in HCMC, Mr. Ha said.

Representatives of the Japanese Business Association said that HCMC have made great efforts to improve administrative procedures and investment environment.

They hoped that the city would steep up solving problems in tax, customs and working license to remove unofficial costs and streamline procedures.
