VGP – PM Nguyen Tan Dung has decided to supplement the National Steering Committee for sea and island healthcare with Deputy Minister of Health Pham Le Tuan as its new Deputy Head.
Headed by Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien with Deputy Minister of Defense Le Huu Duc as Deputy Head, the committee will be responsible for assisting the Government and the PM to develop healthcare services at sea and in islands.
The committee will be allowed to mobilize forces and medical equipment in case of emergency. It will also supervise the implementation of a project on sea and island healthcare development until 2020.
