Residents in the hamlets should continue to bring into play their traditions and achievements to well perform socio-economic development tasks.

Hai Duong provincial leaders on November 16 attended ceremonies marking the 84th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Unified National Front (November 18, 1930 – 2014) and Festivals of Great National Unity in three hamlets of Gia Loc and Kim Thanh districts and Chi Linh provincial town.
In 2014, the aforementioned hamlets have achieved many positive results in realizing a campaign titled “All people unite to develop cultural lives in residential areas”.
At present, there are 260 households with 828 inhabitants in Cau Lam hamlet (Pham Tran commune, Gia Loc district). This year, no resident in the hamlet has given birth to the third child, and the entire children of eligible age group there have been injected with all six vaccines as prescribed. The hamlet’s households have completed their civic obligations without any person implicated in social evils. Through consideration and assessment, 249 out of 260 households in the hamlet have attained the cultural family title (accounting for nearly 96%), and the rate of poor and nearly-poor households has fallen to only 5% in 2014.
On the occasion of the Great National Unity Festival, the commune commended and rewarded nine residents having won the title of “exemplary grandparent; loyal and pious child; or dutiful and meek grandchild”, while the hamlet commended and rewarded 15 pupils with outstanding achievements.

There are 358 households in Trieu hamlet (Tan Dan commune, Chi Linh provincial town). This year, the hamlet has had 351 households awarded the title of cultural family and 132 good production and trading households at all levels. In new rural construction, the residents have donated VND450 million and over 5,700 m2 of land for construction of roads and other public works. Per capita income in the hamlet has hit VND29 million this year.
At the festival, the hamlet praised four collectives and three individuals with outstanding achievements in the movement “All people unite to develop cultural lives in residential areas” and three typical families of three generations.
There are currently 497 households with 1,900 inhabitants in Bac Thang hamlet (Lien Hoa commune, Kim Thanh district). In 2014, the per capita income has reached VND29 million; the affluence rate, 38%; and the poverty rate, only 6.4%. Within the year, 432 households in the hamlet have been recognized as cultural families, reaching more than 90%, including 41 typical cultural families, etc.

Speaking at the Festivals of Great National Unity, the provincial leaders praised the solidarity spirit and positive results the hamlets had obtained.
Great National Unity Festivals are activities aimed at honoring and encouraging grassroots emulation movements. Hence, the hamlets need to maintain and hold many more practical and useful activities for everyone in the communities to have an opportunity to participate in. Residents in the hamlets should continue to bring into play their traditions and achievements to create new emulation movements and atmosphere to well perform socio-economic development tasks. The hamlets should mobilize the people to well observe the Party’s guidelines and policies and the State’s laws; further intensify new rural construction; reorganize production to efficiently promote local advantages; well carry out campaigns of the Fatherland Front, unions, and local authorities, and strengthen the bloc of great national unity.
