(CPV) -The Embassy of Sweden in Vietnam, in association with Swedish Institute and Ho Chi Minh (HCM) city People’s Committee, will organise Innovative Sweden exhibition at Hoa Sen University from November 10 – 30. The exhibition aims to showcase Swedish innovations and creativity and facilitate an exchange of ideas between Sweden and Vietnam. The programme include one major exhibition and 18 other sideline events, in which a visit of four business delegations will take place as part of the celebration of the 45th anniversary of Sweden-Vietnam diplomatic relations (1969 – 2014). Innovative Sweden is a touring exhibition which has travelled to over 20 destinations in the world. The groundbreaking high-tech innovations from Swedish start-up companies will be displayed in this exhibition, in four categories, such as ICT (Information and Communication Technology), Life Science, Clean Technology and Gaming. Innovations on display include most advanced technologies such as a leading-edge portable camera, ocular-controlled computer technology and learning physics through gaming. “Innovations are crucial for economic growth and development. We hope to share some insights with Vietnam of how innovations have contributed to make Sweden the developed nation it is today. We believe that through Innovative Sweden, the Vietnamese public will get to know a little bit more about Sweden; its companies, its universities and its culture”, said Ms. Elenore Kanter, Deputy Head of Mission, Counsellor at the Swedish Embassy while referring to the fact that Sweden and Vietnam have maintained a unique and excellent bilateral relationship throughout the past 45 years. Along with the exhibition, four seminars will take place on Sustainable Transport, Clean-tech, Innovative Media and Innovative Disaster Relief, as well as a photo exhibition which takes a close look at Swedish innovations through Vietnamese lenses. A Swedish film festival and other cultural events such as a LunchBeat (disco lunch), music festival and gaming fest will also be organised. Finally, “Study in Sweden” seminar with 5 top universities from Sweden will provide a picture of why we should choose the country of the Nobel prize for study destination. The exhibition is open to the public daily from 08:00 to 17:00, including weekends./. |
