As of October 2014, Haiphong customs’ budget revenue reached 32,580 billion dong, achieving more than 87.8% of the year plan; tax debt drastically decreased as compared to 31st December 2013.
In particular, Haiphong collected more than 27.128 billion dong, making up 82.5% of the plan, a rise of 6.7%; Hai Duong province collected more than 1,143 billion, reaching more than 83% of the plan, up 14.8%; Hung Yen province collected more than 1,731 billion, hitting more than 82% of the plan, an increase of 26.4%. By 15 October, tax arrears decreased 1,365 billion dong as compared to 31st December 2013; in which income tax debt reduced 1,334 billion dong and withholding tax debt dropped 31 billion dong. In nearly 2 year-end months of 2014, Haiphong Customs Department will strive to achieve and exceed the assigned target; beef up the post-customs clearance inspection in accordance with the law to restrict those businesses who take advantage of loopholes before and after custom clearance to commit tax fraud or evasion. |
