Fund to support traffic accident victims launched

The National Committee of Traffic Safety (NCTS) and Prudence Fund of firm Prudential Vietnam yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding to implement the program “Gold arms to share traffic accident pain”.

Accordingly, the program will provide scholarships to children of traffic accident victims; create jobs for relatives of victims; give saving account and free insurance to wives or husbands of poor traffic accident victims who are breeding children below 18 years old.



In addition, the program also supports seedlings, assists treatment expenses to traffic accident victims.


The insurance company pledged to give 100 scholarships each worth VND5 million (US$234) to senior and junior high school students and VND3 million (US$140) to primary students in the 2014 to 2019 period.


Speaking at the signing ceremony, Transport Minister Dinh La Thang stressed that the program is aimed to share the pain of traffic accident victims; NTCS should connect benefactors with victims to help them overcome the heartbreaking pain.


The program organizers thus hope to receive more supports from organizations and good heart benefactors in and outside the country.
