Joint forces well ensure social order and protect forests

PANO – The Department of Civil Defence under the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, the Department of Building the Campaign “All people protect national security from, the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on December 16th gathered to review their cooperation achievements this year.

Over the past time, they well recommended their superiors to issue tens of documents on related works, regularly held meetings to evaluate the current situations, shared information, and conducted two field trips in eight provinces and cities nationwide.


By the end of October 2014, joint forces of militia, police and forest rangers in localities across the country actively raised the people’s awareness of fighting crimes and protecting forests. They busted nearly 19,000 cases of forest destruction, and extinguished over 410 forest fires. Particularly, the number of arrivals of militia joining these activities reached about 210,000 with nearly a half a million working days.


Addressing the event, Senior Lieutenant General Do Ba Ty, Deputy Minister of National Defence cum Chief of the General Staff, applauded the three departments’ cooperation and urged them to continuously coordinate together to fulfill their agreement’s terms.
