(VOV) -The US Cable News Network CNN has introduced Vietnamese well-known architect Vo Trong Nghia’ works on its January’s episode ‘Ones to Watch’.

CNN Ones to Watch is a new show that shines a spotlight on up-and-coming creative talents set to be the next big names in culture and the arts.

The video, taken within 10 days, features a number of Nghia’s outstanding architectural works including Win and Water Bar, Diamond Island Community Hall, and the progress of building a prototype house for low-income earners.

In the video, famous international architect David Adjaye added his praise of Nghia: “I was very impressed by the notion to use local materials, in a modest way, but at the same time to create really bold architectural statements.”

The show also features Kunle Adeyemi, a remarkable Nigerian architect, who uses architectural ingenuity to tackle problems of building in his country’s waterfront cities.

Born in 1976, Vo Trong Nghia was a valedictorian of Nagoya Institute of Technology (Japan) in 2002. He also received a master’s degree with distinction from the University of Tokyo in 2004.

He was voted as one of 10 best architects in 2012 by US monthly magazine Architectural Record.
