Over 3 years of implementing the National Target Program to build new rural areas, Vietnamese Youth Association in Son Hoa district has conducted many youth works, contributing to increasingly developinh the district.

Vietnamese Youth Association in Son Hoa district has had 14 affiliated association committees in 14 communes and townlet including 76 associations in villages, hamlets and quarters with 4,800 members. During the three years of implementing the National target program on new rural construction in the 2011-2014 period, the Vietnamese Youth Association in the district has taken lots of good measures attracting numerous Youth Union’s members and young people’s participation, positively contributing to the local socio-eco development, political stability, national defense – security consolidation. For example, from 2011 until now, the Association at all levels has actively coordinated to organize propagating the importance of the program through abundant ways, diverse contents, such as organizing culture – art – sports activities, contests, forums, seminars, stages…, which helps extensively transmit the program content for Youth Union’s members, youths and people to understand. In addition, all levels of the Associations have integrated their operations with local events; promoting the effectiveness of visual communication through banners, slogans, leaflets on new rural construction.
Besides, the Vietnamese Youth Association in Son Hoa district directed the Association’s basis to organize more than 350 activities on environmental protection, constructing rural landscapes, urban civilization; caring, planting over 5,000 trees; undertaking and implementing the roads with the youth’s self-managing, green – clean – beautiful villages. In addition, the Association at all levels have held more than 55 counseling times, vocational guidance, vocational training, job introduction and loans for the youth; supporting them with domestic economic development, restructuring plants, pets… “In response to the movement of new rural construction, the Youth Union and the Youth Association in Son Nguyen commune organized 7 volunteer-times, mobilizing 90 turns of members, youths and people for concreting rural roads; doing sanitation, clearing bushes, collecting garbage on major routes in the commune. In addition, the Communal Youth Association collaborated with the People’s Boards in the villages, the groups to mobilize 125-million-dong contribution from people to build the bridge in Nguyen Cam village with the fund of VND 1,5 billion in order to promote the National target program,” Deputy Secretary of the Communal Youth Union, Chairman of the Youth Association in Son Nguyen commune, Mr. La O Giua said.
According to the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union cum Chairman of the Vietnamese Youth Association in Phu Yen province, Mr. Nguyen Khanh Minh, in spite of being a mountainous district with many ethnic minority youths, the Youth Association in Son Hoa district has well implemented the task of youth gathering. The communes and townlet in the district also have lots of outstanding models, youth-projects, along with the local authorities in implementing the National target program on building new rural areas. The Vietnamese Youth Association in Son Hoa district is the typical unit honored by the Provincial Youth Union at the preliminary conference of three-year- implementing the new rural construction in the 2011-2014 period.
