Members of the National Assembly Standing Committee agreed to allocate about 2 trillion VND (94 million USD) from spare government bond capital from 2012-15 to a programme upgrading schools during their ongoing 35th session on February 26.
As much as 800 billion VND (37.6 million USD) will be spent on the Truong Son Dong road project that passes through seven central and Central Highlands localities, they concurred.
Meanwhile, they decided to shift part of investments previously dedicated to upgrading houses for teachers to irrigation projects.
According to a Government proposal, as many as 7.5 trillion VND (352.5 million USD) mobilised from standby government bonds will be distributed in 2012-15.
During the session, they also discussed the revised State Budget Law and the Long Thanh International Airport project in southern Dong Nai province. On the first working day on February 25, they gave opinions on the Law on Electing Deputies to the NA and the People’s Councils.-VNA
