PANO – The second Ao Dai (traditional Vietnamese long dress) Festival, themed “Ho Chi Minh City-The City of Ao Dai”, will take place on March 7th and 8th at Dam Sen Culture Park, announced the city’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism at a press conference on February 27th.
The city’s annual event promoting its tourism sector is to mark the 40th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification and the International Women’s Day, and to honour the beauty of Vietnamese Ao Dai and women.
Accordingly, fashion designers will introduce collections of Ao Dai for Vietnamese men and women. Besides, there will be a wide range of activities, such as an Ao Dai Performance, Ao Dai drawing and photo contests and cuisine.
More than 60 businesses, fashion designers and tailors have registered to join the event. Last year, the festival attracted 40,000 viewers.
