Mr. Nguyen Manh Hien checks production activities at Regent Garment Factory Ltd.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Hien, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC), on February 25 morning visited and checked early-spring production activities at An Phat Plastic and Green Environment JSC., Toyo Denso Vietnam Co., Ltd., and Regent Garment Factory Ltd.
As reported by the businesses, their production activities have so far returned to normal after Tet (Lunar New Year) holidays. Security and order in warehouses, workshops, and factories were ensured, and no worker quitted his job after Tet.
PPC Chairman Nguyen Manh Hien required the enterprises to urgently stabilize production and continue to well perform their business strategies to increasingly contribute to local development.
Besides production expansion and development, the firms must also well observe legal provisions, especially environmental protection, improvement of product quality, and more attention to laborers’ lives and incomes.
The provincial authorities will always care about, facilitate, and support the enterprises’ development. The businesses should report the difficulties and obstacles they encounter during production and trading (if any) for consideration and timely settlement of the provincial appropriate authorities.
On the occasion of the New Year, the PPC Chairman offered gifts and best wishes to the businesses’ leaders and laborers.
Also on the morning of the day, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hien visited and conveyed Tet greetings to the officials and workers of Lai Vu Industrial Park One Member Co., Ltd.
He desired the company’s leaders and officials to further unite, well realize all assigned tasks, and expeditiously accomplish the items under construction to soon put the whole industrial park into operation.
* On the same day, Mr. Nguyen Anh Cuong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board, PPC Vice Chairman, inspected agricultural production in Thanh Ha and Nam Sach districts.
After visiting Thanh Ha district’s litchi and guava growing areas and Nam Sach district’s concentrated rice production areas, the PPC Vice Chairman required leaders of the localities to focus on directing production.
Thanh Ha district authorities should urgently urge Phuong Hoang commune authorities to accelerate rice cultivation. Authorities of localities where rice cultivation has been completed should guide farmers in care measures for rice to well grow and develop and focus on simultaneously eradicating rats in both rice and fruit tree areas.
The district specialized divisions should intensify the checking of diseases in crop plants and livestock, especially suong mai (morning dew) disease, to promptly recommend preventive measures to farmers.
Right in early March, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development will collaborate with the district authorities to organize seminars and exchanges between scientists and farmers on measures of care and pestilent insect prevention for litchis.
PPC Vice Chairman Nguyen Anh Cuong asked Nam Sach district authorities to concentrate on instructing farmers how to attend to spring rice.
Authorities of the district’s communes and district towns need to further study measures to bring about the best results for land mergence, lot change, and field rearrangement to create changes in production and raise the people’s incomes.
The district authorities have built concentrated rice production areas but must pay attention to finding outlets for products and continue to develop brand names for onions and carrots.
The PPC will soon consider and facilitate additional funding to upgrade and renovate Do Han pumping station. Regarding deteriorated inter-communal roads, the district authorities were required to report in writing to the PPC for consideration.
By February 25, rice had been cultivated on 4,667ha in Nam Sach district and 3,550ha in Thanh Ha district. Most of the rice is rooting and regaining green.
