(VOVworld) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Friday that pressures from outside will not force Russia to change its foreign policy which it considers to be correct.
In a speech at the Diplomatic Academy of the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Lavrov pointed out differences between opinions of some western countries in their relations with Russia. On one hand they are trying to isolate Russia and on the other hand they are active in enhancing cooperation with Russia on key issues, such as the Iranian nuclear program, Arab-Israeli settlement, and the fight against international terrorism. He stressed that Russia always wants to develop cooperation with the EU, adding that normalizing relationship with Russia will pave the way for the EU.
