The Hai Duong Department of Education and Training on the afternoon of March 27 coordinated with Soshi Educational Group (Japan) to organize a ceremony to award scholarships to 37 pupils wishing to study at training facilities of Soshi Educational Group. Of them, 18 pupils were supported with 30% of a scholarship’s value each; 18 pupils, 50% of a scholarship’s value each; and Hoang Thuc Oanh (a 12th grader majoring in physics, Nguyen Trai Senior High School for Gifted Pupils), a full scholarship.
To be granted scholarships by Soshi, school reports of the wishing pupils must be approved and they have to take an integrated test within 90 minutes to assess their knowledge and skills about personal statement, foreign languages (English or Japanese), and mathematics.
At the scholarship granting ceremony, leaders of the Department of Education and Training thanked Soshi Group for its attention to Hai Duong pupils and proposed that the future overseas students strive to learn, soon overcome language and cultural barriers to study well, and strictly abide by local laws and schools’ regulations.
Soshi is one of five largest educational groups in Japan with hundreds of educational institutions in Japan, New Zealand, and Australia. In 2014, Soshi assisted pupils from nine provinces in Vietnam with USD32,000.
Addressing the scholarship granting ceremony, Mr. Takahiro Kojima, representative of Soshi Group, pledged to further support Hai Duong pupils wishing to study at Soshi’s training facilities with scholarships in the coming years.
