Exhibitions highlight 1975 Spring Offensive

PANO – The Department of Politics of Army Corps 4 in association with the Vietnam Military History Museum on March 15th opened the three-day exhibition, themed “The Victory of 1975 Spring Offensive – The Power of Vietnam”, in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification.


On the display are 400 photos, exhibits and documents about the resistance war against American invaders for national salvation, the war to protect Southwest border and the Vietnamese troops’ implementation of international obligation in Cambodia. It also introduces 600 books on the history of revolutionary war, Uncle Ho and General Vo Nguyen Giap.

The exhibition is to disseminate and educate troops the national tradition and the “determined to fight and determined to win” spirit of the Vietnam People’s Army in general and Army Corps 4 in particular.


Earlier, the Museums of Army Corps 2 and Chemical Arm had opened an exhibition tour, themed “Army Corps 2 in the 1975 Spring Offensive”, with photos and objects on historic campaigns such as Tri Thien-Hue, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh as well as the traditions of Army Corps 2 and Chemical Arm. These drives helped encourage troops to fulfil assigned missions.


The exhibition will be opened in units under Army Corps 2 and Chemical Arm until March 21st


In the framework of the exhibition, there will be a talk to help officers and troops understand the important role and contributions of Army Corps 2 to the final victory of the Ho Chi Minh Campaign.
