Japan assists Vietnam’s projects

PANO – Japan has agreed to provide US$1.4 million non-refundable aid to 12 projects on building and upgrading schools and medical stations and on supplying medical equipment for hospitals.

Particularly, the fund will be used to build Hong Chau and Dao Duc Primary Schools in Vinh Phuc province, Ly Thuong Kiet Primary School in Ly Thuong Kiet commune of Hung Yen province’s Yen My district and a dormitory for Phuc Son Secondary School in Phuc Son commune of Tuyen Quang province’s Chiem Hoa district. It also goes to projects to build medical station in Dong Lac commune of Phu Tho province’s Yen Lap district, upgrade the medical station in Tan Ky commune of Hai Duong province’s Tu Ky district, and provide medical equipment for Rehabilitation Centres in Hanoi and Bac Ninh province, for Phu Dong Nursing Centre for Elderly people, and Pediatrics Faculty of Quang Tri provincial General Hospital. The fund is also allocated to improve the water supply system and clean up the environment in Quang Binh and Ninh Binh provinces.


These projects are to raise the living standards of local people and the quality of healthcare in these needy localities.
