(VOVworld) – Vietnam introduced its investment and business opportunities at a seminar held Tuesday in London.
According to Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Ho Thi Kim Thoa, Vietnam has restructured its economy, refined its legal system, and improved its investment climate to create an equal and transparent environment for investors. Thoa highlighted Vietnam as a potential destination for foreign investors and a reliable partner which has joined numerous bilateral and multilateral agreements. She was confident that the seminar keeps British firms updated about cooperation, investment, and business operations in Vietnam, helping to foster Vietnam-UK trade relations.
Speakers at the event included Thoa, Director General of the European Market Department Dang Hoang Hai, and Douglas Barnes, UK Consul General in Ho Chi Minh city and Director for UK Trade & Investment Vietnam. They briefed participants on construction licenses for foreign investors, the policy regarding foreign ownership of houses, investment in transportation and healthcare projects, and opportunities for small businesses.
