PANO – The Operation Smile in Vietnam will hold a program to provide free check-ups and surgeries for about 120 Vietnamese children with cleft lip and palate in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in March.

Accordingly, parents with their children should go to the University Medical Centre in Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Hospital in Hanoi from March 14th-20th to March 23rd-27th, respectively, to apply for the program.

After receiving necessary health checks, children with severe cases will receive surgeries, from March 16th-20th and March 24th-27th, respectively.

In Vietnam, approximately one in every 700 babies is born with a cleft lip and/or cleft palate, and many needy children have never received surgeries.
