Vietnam wants to boost multifaceted cooperation with Slovakia

(VOVworld)- Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung praised the traditional friendship and cooperation between Slovakia and Vietnam during his meeting with the Justice Minister of the Slovak Republic Tomas Borec on Wednesday.

The PM said that Vietnam and Slovakia have had a long traditional relationship and confirmed that Vietnam has not forgotten the precious support and assistance Slovakia gave Vietnam during its struggle for independence. He said the Vietnamese Party, State, Government and people were willing to preserve and enhance its cooperation with Slovakia in economics, commerce, investment, science, defence and security, and culture and education. The PM expressed his hope that the two justice ministries would increase exchanges to share their practical experiences in improving legal systems and enhancing legislation introduction and approval processes.


The Vietnamese PM used the occasion to extend an invitation to the Slovak Prime Minister to visit Vietnam and discuss measures to further develop friendship and cooperation between the two countries. During talks with the Vietnamese Ministry of Justice the same day, Minister Borec and Minister Ha Hung Cuong signed a two-year cooperation agreement.
