VN, Turkey agree to lift up trade value to US$3 billion

VGP – Viet Nam and Turkey have agreed to raise the two-way trade value to US$3 billion next year by accelerating exchange of key commodities and business penetration.

The agreement was made during the talks between Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh and Turkish FM Mevlut Cavusoglu in Ha Noi on March 18.


Deputy PM, FM Minh urged Turkey to consider removing preventive trade measures against some of Viet Nam’s exports.


The two sides agreed to expand cooperation in potential areas like labor, tourism, agriculture, and education and training.


They stressed the importance of thorough preparations for the 7th meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee, affirming their resolve to continue improving legal framework for bilateral ties.


The two countries pledged to continue close coordination at international forums and organizations, especially the United Nations.


Both the host and the guest also exchanged views on regional and international issues of common concern./.
