(VOV) -On April 14, Vietnamese and German justice ministry representatives inked a joint statement and a three-year cooperation programme agreement on legal and judicial cooperation in Hanoi.
The documents formed part of the Legal Cooperation Programme on Dialogue on the Rule of Law for the period 2015-2018.
The joint statement is to extend a previously-signed agreement on legal and judicial cooperation between the Vietnamese and German governments in February, 2008.
Meanwhile, the Programme on Dialogue on the Rule of Law from 2015 through April 2018 is designed to develop and fine-tune legal frameworks in the areas of criminal and criminal procedures, civil affairs and civil procedures, and economic and commercial affairs and guarantee law enforcement.
Other issues cover capacity for parties concerned, raising awareness of laws in society and increasing the participation of all entities and community members in implementing laws.
The cooperation approaches will include exchanges, training courses, talks, seminars and study tours.
Both side voiced their hope that their legal and judicial cooperation will serve as a springboard for forging broader cooperation in other key sectors in the time ahead.
