The Cuu Long (Mekong) Delta province of Ben Tre is calling for investment for 30 major projects with a total value of VND11.3 trillion ($542 million) and $50 million over the next three years (2013-15).
The projects include the VND1.4 trillion ($67.2 million) Giao Hoa Industrial Park, the VND1 trillion ($48 million) Thanh Tan Industrial Park and the VND1 trillion Phuoc Long Industrial Park.

Vietinbank helps poor families build houses
The People’s Committee of the northern province of Yen Bai has worked with Vietinbank to help 321 poor households that have contributed to the nation’s war effort build new houses.
There are another 640 such households in the province that are poor and need assistance.
Each of the 321 families has received VND35 million ($1,680) towards building their own houses. The funding is provided from a total amount of VND8.59 billion ($412,000) raised through donations from Vietinbank staff.
Besides these families, the province has 10,911 other households living in poverty.
