HCM CITY (VNS)— The Sanofi group will invest US$75 million in a new plant manufacturing pharmaceuticals and consumer healthcare products in the HCM City’s Sai Gon Hi-tech Park.
The new plant – the third invested by Sanofi in Viet Nam – is scheduled to start production by the end of 2015 and will have an initial capacity of 90 million units a year, with a possible extension to 150 million units.
Chris Viehbacher, managing director of the French pharmaceutical company Sanofi (SFY), said on Friday that Sanofi would sell its products in Viet Nam in 2016 and would have them exported to Southeast Asian countries.-VNS
