Nhan Dan – National Assembly (NA) Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung held a meeting in Hanoi on May 18 with 171 outstanding young People’s Public Security Force officers who made significant contributions to the Force’s emulation movement ‘Following Uncle Ho’s Advice’.
The 171 delegates represent more than 140,000 young police officers from across the country who have promoted the movement in recent years.
NA Chairman Hung applauded their achievements and contributions, saying that their outstanding results demonstrate the Force’s fine traditions of bravery, wisdom and courage, as well as the enthusiasm of many generations of young police for nearly 70 years.
He affirmed that young people are the pillar and the future of the country, adding that they are also the pioneers in national socio-economic development and defence.
Caring for and educating young people, particularly young police officers, is the responsibility of the entire political system and the society, Hung stressed.
The NA leader urged the officers to continually strive to improve themselves, uphold the force’s tradition of promoting national defence and security, continue making significant contributions to the Party’s revolutionary cause and work towards ensuring a peaceful life for the Vietnamese people.
An awards ceremony to honour the exceptional young police officers was held earlier the same day at Ba Dinh Square.
