A seed fairs was held on Thursday for the first time making Ho Chi Minh City be the largest seed and seedling center in the country.
A cattle farm in Cu Chi District Speaking at the opening ceremony fo the fair that was held in the Suoi Tien Cultural Park, Mr. Le Manh Ha, vice chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee emphasized that agriculture played an important role in the city hence the city put the importance on agriculture development.
Ho Chi Minh City is the largest center of science and technology in the country with high-tech labor source so the city desires to achieve advances in agriculture with high technology and develop high economic value products such as milk cow, orchids, ornamental plants, and ornamental fish, he said.
With the advantages, HCMC determines to become the largest seedling manufacturing center of the country, he added.
the fairs was held to introduce the achievements of the agricultural sector in seed production.
Expectedly, the fairs will take place until June 30.
