Last winter spring crop, five types of vegetables in the project were selected for trial growth on 3,000 m2 of institute’s garden.
The South Korean Union of Farmers in collaboration with Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Science (VAAS) continues implementation of the Project “Construction of demonstration model for vegetable production” including chili, shallot on an area of 1,000 m2 at the Institute of Food Crops and Food Plants (Gia Loc, Hai Duong) in spring summer crop this year.
Last winter spring crop, five types of vegetables in the project including celery cabbage, turnip cabbage, potatoes, red hot pepper and eschalot were selected for trial growth on 3,000 m2 of institute’s garden.
The results showed that the vegetables, tubers matched soil conditions and climate in Hai Duong.
The model of project will be built in Ninh Giang, Kim Thanh, Tu Ky districts in 2014.
The group leaders of the project will be assisted in learning experiences in Korea in early 2014.
The production of vegetables, tubers is to be purchased by South Korea.
