PANO – Lieutenant-General Vo Van Tuan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff and Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee for People’s Air Defence, led a delegation to inspect people’s air defence tasks in Thua Thien-Hue province on July 15th and 16th.
For over a year and a half, the Steering Committee for People’s Air Defence at all levels in the province have promoted regular troops’ professionalism, disseminated missions for people’s air defence on the mass media to 53,000 cadres, soldiers, students and people, as well as carried out exercises on defensive areas in combination with air defence drills at 80 communes, districts and towns in the province.
Addressing the conference, Lieutenant-General Tuan highly valued Thua Thien-Hue’s achievements in implementing people’s air defence tasks and affirmed that the province’s Steering Committee from the grassroots level should establish air defence plans to suit different tasks, as well as heighten troops’ and local people’s awareness of conducting air defence missions and maintaining social order.
