PANO – In the second period of dry season of 2012-2013, four search teams from Military Zone 9 collected 127 sets of remains of voluntary Vietnamese soldiers and experts in Cambodia from the past war.
They found the remains in 28 Cambodian districts and towns, bringing the number of collected sets of remains of Vietnamese martyrs in the two periods to 253, including 18 identified ones.
In mid-July, the People’s Committees of Dong Thap, An Giang and Kien Giang provinces will hold memorial and burial ceremonies for these remains on the occasion of 66th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day.
