PANO – A solemn memorial and reburial ceremony for 203 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers who died in localities in Vietnam and Cambodia in different periods was held at the Ba Dac slope martyrs’ cemetery in Tinh Bien district, An Giang province, on July 23 by the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council and Committee.
These remains of martyrs, including 16 who were identified, were collected by Team K90 of the Department of Politics of Military Zone 9 and Team K93 of the An Giang provincial Military Command during the 2012-2013 dry season.
Colonel Pham Quang Trung, Head of Team K93, said under the leadership and instructions of higher levels, as well as the assistance of local people, troops in the whole unit overcame all difficulties to fulfil assigned tasks.
