War invalids and sick soldiers presented gifts

PANO – Senior Lieutenant-General Ngo Xuan Lich, Director of the General Department of Politics, paid a visit to the Duy Tien War Invalids Convalescence Centre in Ha Nam province on July 20th.


At the working session with the Directorate of the center, General Lich highly valued its staff for overcoming difficulties to promote solidarity and wholeheartedly care for war invalids and sick soldiers who had made great contributions for the national salvation cause.

While touring accommodations of war invalids and sick soldiers, the general wished them to recover from their injuries to have better health and to be good examples for the young generations as well as to continue bringing the nature of Uncle Ho’s soldiers into play.


Besides, he also briefed them on the whole army units’ activities in response to the movement of “When you eat a fruit, think of the man who planted the tree”. Over the recent time, army units built new and repaired about 12,000 houses, found and collected nearly 70,000 sets of remains of martyrs, and provided stable jobs for 2,000 war invalids’ children.


For his part, Head of the center Nguyen Si Luong thanked the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defence and the General Department of Politics in general and General Lich in particular for their support and promised to continue to take better care of war invalids and sick soldiers in the coming time.


In addition, General Lich presented VND 60 million to the center and 61 gifts, worth VND 1 million each, to war invalids and sick soldiers.


On this occasion, artists from the Military Singing and Dancing Theatre presented a special artistic performance for the center’s staff and war invalids and sick soldiers.
