PANO – A mission from the Central Steering Committee of the People’s Air Defence, led by its deputy head Lieutenant General Vo Van Tuan, who is also Vice Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, checked the people’s air defence tasks in Dong Thap province on July 18th and 19th.

The mission worked with the provincial Military Headquarters and the People’s Committees of Hong Ngu town and Dong Thap Province, and inspected the work on people’s air defence in the Department of Information and Communication and the provincial Post Office.
Over the past years, the work has been carried out more deeply and efficiently. Besides, the people’s air defence posture was built widely in province and district level defence areas, gradually improving the combat ability of the anti-aircraft forces. Moreover, more people were provided with knowledge of the people’s air defence.After being briefed on and checking the work in units, Lieutenant General Vo Van Tuan lauded the province for their achievements and asked the units to consider the people’s air defence task an important mission in close attachment with socio-economic building and development in the locality. Moreover, military organs at all levels should improve their staff role while promoting training tasks and providing more facilities for people’s anti-aircraft forces.
